During pregnancy have you wondered “Is this safe to do?” There is so much conflicting information about training during pregnancy. Some of it is outdated advice or general statements like “do what you have always done”! Both are not really helpful!
I have created this guide with up to date recommendations, experience from coaching women through pregnancy for the last 6 years and my own training experience during my pregnancy. General statements like “listen to your body” and “do what you have always done” fail to care for your changing body, energy levels, sleep etc. Pregnancy is a time for change in the body but that doesn’t mean you have to stop exercising.
This guide gives you modifications for each trimester so you can adjust your training to stay doing what you love. Staying active during pregnancy has numerous health benefits for you and baby.
In this guide I’m going to remove the guess work with clear modifications in language you can understand, even if you are new to exercise so that you can keep active. I will give you my top tips and use my signature methodology, the BUMP plan, to help keep you moving throughout pregnancy.
In this guide we will go through:
Building a solid foundation with key considerations for your whole pregnancy
Understanding the changes and
Modify for each trimester
And in my Pregnancy Strength and Stretch class I will help you to:
Prepare for labour and birth with yoga and exclusive doula chats with Lisa Joyce
This guide is a detailed PDF with a breakdown of key considerations to be aware of while training during pregnancy such as pressure management, posture, intensity. Sample workouts for each trimester is also included!
